And again I didn't use on this build, but the integrated fan controller hub is nice. some other cases.Īmple depth for cable routing and organizers to keep cables "flat" in your bundle instead of bunching up. Might get easier with a few uses? But this is still a nice and easy process vs. Swing open the front door to the side, then the filter- it's a bit of a tight fit- pops off.

The bottom filter comes out via the front rather than the side or back, the front and top filters also are pretty easy. Things like ease of cleaning the filters. On this build I replaced all the stock Fractal Design fans because I am picky, but we've done a ton of builds with the stock fans too. The attention to detail for, say, fan filters is a significant factor in serviceability. Thumbscrews, pre-attached standoffs, even the stock fans aren't bad. It's a much better case to live with over time. Some configurations (actually most of them) we have done are air-cooled so again maybe overkill, but anyway that's neither here nor there.Īs far as why the Meshify 2 over the Lian Li Lancool II Mesh Performance and some of its other competitors in particular the Lancool II Mesh which has even better thermals and acoustics (!) Well, Fractal did a nice job with all of the cable routing holes and with the grommets. It's been a few months and we actually haven't had demand for a smaller one in a Meshify 2 Compact either. It's also a bit tighter due to shallower front-to-back depth, and this build has been the baseline/demo for a few more heavily-loaded configurations here, so the added depth for longer PSUs (while retaining the 2x3.5" bay cage in the bottom) was also valuable. The Meshify 2 Compact, as beautiful a case as it is, takes only a 240mm max in the top. Well, I wanted more radiator mounting flexibility for large radiators (280mm, 360mm, possibly 420mm) and for optimal temps I wanted the radiator to exhaust out, which meant the top had to a radiator. With that, we move on to the case’s internals. The Fractal Design Meshify 2 needs no introduction so I will skip a lot of the details, and go straight into our considerations for regular Meshify 2 over the Meshify 2 Compact for such a simple build as the Meshify 2 Compact could technically have housed this build with ease. To pull off the side panels, you simply pull them from the rear tab and take them off the case – it’s that easy.

Otherwise, top IO comprises discrete headphone and mic jacks, a USB Type-C port, and two USB 3.0 ports – all very complete. A sticking power button shouldn’t happen with any case, especially not one that costs $110. But if you have the same issue, don’t hesitate to ask Fractal Design for a fix. We didn’t experience this issue with the bigger Meshify 2, so it’s very possible that it’s something down to our sample.

#Fractal design 360 aio Pc
If you pressed it near the top, the button would get stuck in the down position – and yes, it did shut down our PC when we weren’t paying attention. This looks great, and for the ports it isn’t an issue, but it’s a little bit problematic on the power button. At the top IO, you’ll note that the tolerances between the removable top panel and the ports and buttons is extremely tight. That being said, Fractal Design goes out of its way to make the case look good, almost to a fault.
